Carmen

She brings great joy to my life actually

For one thing
she spares me the exposure to
harsh chemicals which make me violently ill

She does my ironing
so I am always
well groomed

and she in general cleans my home
making it a much more healthy place

a dirty house is depressing and drains energy.

but the most valuable service
she provides
is one
of mystery

Every week I get
to play a game
it is called

"Where would Carmen put that"

Here is how the game works

in the course of the week
I move things around
they sort of float from
room to room

and every Thursday
Carmen finds these objects
and determines a place
for these objects.

Now I have learned
for things I really need
to accept her choices
as the permanent resting places

but always there is something
which I may joyfully galavant
around the house
in search of

Every week
I get to
participate
in a new treasure
hunt

most delightful

this week it was my favourite
ashtray

and it only took
me 15 minutes
to find it

I am getting good
at this game
