That reminds me of a surgery case I was in a few weeks ago. My job involves having blood drawn from the patient before they're operated on (usually from typical IV sites in the hands/arms). The patient had no arms and the veins in the leg sucked. When it was obvious there was nothing to stick from the foot, we had to just give it up because there was no where else to go and everyone was ready to begin.
