I'm drunk

but
I had a fabulous night

went out with the boys
played quite a bit of pool
wasn't planning on drinking much
but
the boys decided the games
should include a wager

the wager of course
was
that the loser buys the winner a drink

well
as you can imagine
I ended up consuming
[strictly out of politeness mind you]
a whole lot more alcohol than I intended

I did (of course)
lose a token game
for the sake of propriety
but
my ego didn't allow for more than that

and

as is typical of a drunk like myself
the more I drank
the better I played
it was a vicious cycle
believe you me

I did however
have a delightful time
hitting on, flirting with
and otherwise making an ass of myself
with the girls tending bar at the pool hall

you know
its amazing that I get away with half the shit I do

tonight I was chatting up the bar girls
I'm not sure how we got on the topic
but we were talking about marriage and futures
and I said (speaking to both of them)

"if I had my druthers... I'd marry you and have you as my mistress"

they both laughed coyly
despite the fact that I'd just insulted and complimented each of them
simultaneously

later I tried to pawn off my behavior
as merely being a drunken fool
but they had none of it

saying "hush now, you were far more drunk the night I met you"

all my obnoxiousness aside
I still got yummy hugs and kisses
when I said goodnight

and
may I just say

that all other things aside

hugs and kisses from beautiful women
is pretty damn spiffy to me
even if they don't mean a thing

[I'm all about the meaningless]
[but of course you knew that by now]

and
now
I'm going to crash out
because I've got quite a bit to do tomorrow
as I'm going out of town for the weekend
and have to get everything I was planning to do
this weekend
done tomorrow

luckily I was being a lazy ass
and didn't plan to get all that much done this weekend
so
I'll be able to get it done tomorrow no sweat
