Post Number 2000

quite an event to be sure
pity it is an irrelevant post
in the scheme of things
but then again aren't they all

anyway on to the point

folks I need a pair of goggles

now I despise goggles
but
I still need em

now oakley will give me 40% off
cause I'm on ski patrol

so I looked at their stuff
found the lens I like
just have to decide the frame style

so here are your choices

Wisdom Frame

A-Frame

Lemme know what you prefer
[yeah I know they are nearly identical]
and why you prefer one over the other

alternately cause I know yall are contrary types
you can go Here
and design your own suggestion
but keep in mind if you do
that I'll be wearing a blue/yellow jacket
and black pants so no pink ok

and keep in mind that I'll only be wearing em
while on patrol
so the whole image thing is fairly important
[i.e. I should look kind and helpful]

I think that the first one looks cooler, but the second is probably more in line with "kind and helpful".

The first is marginally better looking, because less cute little dots.

I told him so, but he didn't believe me. I think the first ones are neat, too. But they seem more like king-of-the-mountain-don't-fuck-with-me skier than I'm-here-to-help-you.

I like the wisdom frame best, but I think you would look more kind and helpful in the A frame.

Wisdom. For sure.

the top one looks much more badass.

i like the a frame better, because the circles along the top look classier. the other with the lines on the top just look bulky, basically the same style or not

Wisdom, way badass.

Are there really any functional differences? I like the Wisdom frame better, but the A Frame would probably better suit you for looking kind and helpful. Looking "badass" usually intimidates the lesser experienced skiiers. The rounder features are more friendly than the pointed. Not that looking "badass" is actually bad by any means.

I like the first pair better -- maybe it's just the pictures, but they look lower profile. I HATE giant goggles that consume a person's entire face. I have a little face, and have had the hardest time finding a suitable pair. The A-Frame is just too big and clunky looking, in my opinion.

A-frame.

As I was scrolling I saw the first pair and didnt really have a reaction, however when I saw the second pair my mind said "Oooh".

Agreed.

But is he going to listen to us?

Honestly, why does he even bother asking for our advice?

*grumbles*

Occording to my Oakley sales rep, the Wisdom is supposedly better optically. I also know from experience that they tend to fit most helmets better than the A-frame, due to the hinges on the sides.
