A Most pleasant day

pluralToday I lollygagged around work, took most of the afternoon off, went to my accountants paid bills, took care of some stuff which has been hanging over my head, threatening to suspend my drivers license (of course since I have an out of state license there is only so much they can do).
Then to cap it off, I went shopping again, not the wild buy a new wardrobe kind of shopping like I did a week or so ago, more relaxed picking out of a couple of things which I thought would compliment the stuff I bought earlier.
I went to the mariners game with a friend, we had fabulous seats, front row, on the field, 3/4 of the way up on the first base line.
Now I am not much of a sports fan, but I have learned that when I go to watch sports, to get the best seats, it makes it so much more enjoyable, anyway we had foul balls flying all around us, didnt get any though.
The game went on forever, 19 innings, it was finally over at 12:30am, so much for my intention to get to bed at a reasonable hour for once. oh well wasnt planning on going to work tomorrow morning anyway. It was actually a unique experience for me, in that, I actually greatly enjoyed it.
Not at first mind you, it was like good seats, relax spend half the time watching the game and the other half checking out the great variety of cute chicks in my vicinity. It was about inning 13 or so that I really started to enjoy it, I had decided that I was going to stay for the whole game no matter what, and about the 13th inning it had just gotten ridiculous, niether team had even had a hit since the top of the 7th inning. I think that surreality, i.e. the game that never ends, contributed greatly to my appreciation.
Perhaps it was the apparent futility of the whole excercise which appealed to my more sardonic side, regardless I let myself go, heckling the other teams players, cheerings, making sarcastic jokes with the people around me. I had a great time.
Tomorrow I think I will tell my boss I need a 5 grand raise so I can buy season tickets for next year hehehe......
The funny thing will be when he realizes that I am not joking...
Well I am falling asleep on my feet so I will leave you now.
