and subject myself to a little discomfort
in their honor

and not being able to get more until tomorrow

you call sitting by a roaring fire
sipping some marvelous port
a dear friend sent me the other day
while munching on roast duck

discomfort

but anyway

I'd better get back to the fire
it is absurdly cold up here
good thing I have a fireplace in the bedroom
otherwise even my hella warm down comforter
might be insufficient

but I'll worry about that later
as I have more port and a good book
[not to mention two sweet pussies]
to focus on for the time being
