but the dancer upstairs was really amazing

H and I saw the dancer upstairs at the DC film festival on the night it premiered. We got to hear Malkovich prattle on about the making, etc.

Personally, I thought the cinematography was excellent, but there was something really lacking about the script... H (who knows much more about such things), said it also had something to do the direction.
