Someone within my group of friends
has been indiscrete with my email address
because I am starting to get spam in hebrew

the one off spam wouldnt mean anything
but after several
it suggests they believe
[correctly so]
that I speak hebrew

I might have to have someone whacked here

cause
I am just not in a happy spam mood

To be fair, it might not be one of your friends. There are many exciting ways spammers can get your email address.

Perhaps.. But Clara_Zena @ ... (My daughter's) gets viagra spam in spanish.. in fact most of her spam is in spanish.. Something about that allowed someone to believe she speaks and reads spanish (well she CAN count to ten and say most of the colors, but that's about it).

I get spam in spanish but then again spanish is one of the more spoken tongues

in comparison hebrew is far more rare

Most of my spam is in German -- probably because my e-mail address has my very German last name in it.

Yeah, but if you say, donate to any jewish organizations or are signed up for any newsletters on jewish subject matter then you might get hebrew spam on the hope that you speak hebrew. I've gotten spam in other languages before on many occasions.

is used only for personal email

I only give it out to people I know, never sign it up for mailing lists of any sort or use it on webpages.

I have other accounts for those purposes

sure its possible it happened another way, but given the number of coincidences, I think it is likely that someone was just careless with the address (As opposed to give it over knowingly)

and really I was more venting than anything else

I have enough problems with english to go dabling in a language that is so completely foreign to my culture I still wonder if they actually have bathrooms.
