looks like tomorrow
will be spent working on bettie

on the ride home tonight
the clutch stopped disengaging
and I was stuck in 1st gear
[or neutral which isnt very helpful]
for the ride home

prolly just a cable adjustment
or atleast I am hoping that is all it is

but I will find out tomorrow

crossing fingers anyway
really not in the mood
to take all her clothes off

[that has to be a first for me]

speaking of bettie
it reminds me
when on vacation
I was showing a girl
[woman maybe]
some of my photographs

she made the comment
that many of my ex's were quite beautiful
I got the impression
that is was somewhat intimidating
so
I explained that
the only mistress in my life
which women must measure up against
is
bettie

and when I find one who does
[hell at this point one that comes close will do]
I would be a fool not to marry her

and
while I happen to be fairly expert
at reading people
and their reactions
[even if I mostly ignore it]

I got the feeling
that she was not entirely
reassured
