Hey there....I haven't updated my journal, let alone really read much other people's in a while. I have to say that as far as the vote goes: I think friendship may be better for now while she is around. Not unless you like putting yourself in difficult situations, would I say try going for that girl that is only here for 8 weeks.
As for the fact of material items, I think as unfortunate as it is...$ rules our world and even if you are trying to be "comfortable", possessions tend to play a major role. I guess it depends on what you do with it all in the end that matters most.
