One Last Huzzah

the redhead and I
had our last night together
yesterday

it was really nice
we had a good talk
about where we both were
and where the "us" was

and decided to go out with a bang
[not that sort of bang]
[although we did that too of course]

the combination of clarity
between us
and
the decision to part ways

served to set us both at ease
and focus us on the evening

we made love on the couch
and again in the bedroom
then went out for dessert
after which we came home for dinner
[three cheese rainbow tortellini]
[in my personal pesto cream sauce]
and
watched "True Romance"
while I gave her a massage
