I have been looking to get Carlisle
[my cat]

some pussy for a while now
[some company for him]

ever since we lost his brother
he has seemed a little lonely/needy

I had mentioned it to the redhead
and yesterday we were on the way to the gym
when she looks over at me from the passenger seat
with one of those odd looks

"I wanna show you something"

I was curious but also glad she didn't say

"Do you want to see something really scary?"

she takes me to Sydney's excuse for a pet store
which is slightly larger than my bathroom

as they had just gotten a batch of kittens

they had six or seven very young ones
just past six weeks old
and while they were cute little things
I didn't find any which struck my fancy

the lady said she also had a few twelve week old kittens
so I checked those out

and
found one which suited me just fine

so without further ado
allow me to introduce
Carlisle's new girlfriend

They are going through something of an adjustment period
which involves a good amount of meowing

and between the two of them
I hardly slept a wink last night

but I figure I will just leave em alone
and they will work it out amongst themselves

Oooooooooooooooooooooooh! I had a grey kitten once, and have always wanted once since. Nothing could be as cute as he and his sister together, but oh! How I love a grey kitten! So sweet.

I think I would even tolerate the meowing-through-adjustment-period requisite for that kitten.
