Toasts

This is really more for my own referrence
A few of my favorite toasts
which in my old age
I was starting to mangle
so I decided to write them here
for future referrence



Here is to the fools of the world...
without them, the rest of us could not succeed.

I've drunk to your health in company,
I've drunk to your health alone.
I've drunk to your health so many times,
I've damn near ruined my own!

To the happiest hours of our lives
Spent in the arms of other men's wives
To our mothers!

Drink to the girls and drink to their mothers,
Drink to their fathers and drink to their brothers;
Toast their dear healths as long as you are able,
And dream of their charms while you're under the table!

When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!

May we live to be hundred years old
and when we die may we be murdered in a fit of jealous rage
and may it be well deserved

May misfortune follow you the rest of your life,
but never catch up.

I used to know a clever toast,
But now I cannot think it,
So fill your glass to anything,
And damn your souls, I'll drink it!

To Fighting, Lying, Cheating and Drinking.
Fighting for your beliefs;
Lying with a pretty lass;
Cheating Death
And Drinking with Me

Here's to me and here's to you,
And if in the world
There was just us two
And I could promise that nobody knew
Would you?
