It had to be me
Nov. 12th, 2003 02:43 amI really am too much
Truly
How many people do you know
who even approaches the amount of talent
which I possess
a fraction of the style and grace
not to mention modesty and humility
with which I execute my glories
So
today was a good day
I interviewed potential maids
so I can start getting someone in here
three or four days a week
did quite a bit of production work
for my photographs
mostly just resizing and cropping
then converting them to CYMK color
so I can send them off for printing
gathered some laundry together
so I can send it out in the morning
did some clothes shopping
and I think I found a sheet/duvet set
that should work for the guest room
[but not entirely sold on it]

[the bottom in taupe is the duvet]
[I am leaning towards the ivory]
[in the middle]
it is only 550 thread count
but SuPima cotton so it will do
besides it is a steal at $400 for the set
and I can always find something better later
I also organized my fridge
which hadn't quite recovered from
that massive grocery trip yesterday
[I spent $700 in two hours]
[but that includes the wine]

yeah the fridge sucks and I need to buy a new one
but I gotta give my accountant some breathing room
or she will kick my ass
*grin*
Then I had a few drinks
while chatting with a bunch of you delightful people
on AIM
and spent a little while
trading petty banter
and amusing myself
playing with newbies in debate
not so much trolling as just
being an asshole
and insulting people
who
in cause you are wondering
are reading this
apparently they got emotional enough
that they need to come to my journal
to get information to
make fun of me with back there
*grin*
the best they could come up with
unfortunately
was
"do0dz d1d you ch3ck ou7 his journa1"
"lolz, I almost fe11 0Ff my Cha1R"
Is it really too much to ask
that they put just a little bit
of time into creative insults?
I mean come on
for example a few of my insults:
"man, that haircut really solved your getting too much sex problem didn't it?"
"You terminally lazy misbegotten byproduct of ass-hat inbreeding. The only industrious parts of you ran down the crack in your mother ass and ended up as a stain on the sheets"
"Oh go back to molesting your ass-dwelling spider monkey"
I would quote some of theirs
but quite frankly
they aren't worth the time to look up
I am entirely disappointed,
it is like shooting a lion
that has been hogtied and declawed
with a howitzer six miles away
whatever happened to people taking pride in their insults
crafting personalized and creative ones
to allow for a stimulating and hilarious exchange of insults
as a form of amusement
nope
now everyone gets all huffy
whines and bitches about how
they are above all of that and how their lives are so great
that *sniffle* it is funny that you try to insult them
Then again, I don't know the joy that is contained
in dressing up in a furry suit and masturbating with stuffed animals
nor I am spiritually a hermaphroditic dragon from outer space
so I can honestly and gladly say
I really am unable to validate those claims
and
quite frankly
there is some knowledge I can do without
Anyway
I wrapped up the evening portion of this show
involved in a challenging conversation
about a variety of topics, several I am not ready to share here
with the ever lovely and radiant Ellen
and her persistent talent for asking exactly those questions
which I am deftly attempting to avoid
*grin*
she had to go
which was good as I was decidedly behind schedule
when it came to cooking dinner
now seeing at is was already past eleven
dinner had two additional criteria
it couldn't take long to cook
and it couldn't be too heavy
as I planned to go to sleep fairly soon
So I decided to start with
a wild mixed green salad
with a garnish of sliced olives
and feta cheese
toasted 12 grain harvest loaf ends
lightly drizzled with olive oil
glazed with roasted garlic hummus
and a few sprinkles of feta for aesthetic appeal

for the main course
New Zealand Lamb Medallions
seared in a four olive & elephant garlic medley
surrounded by crumbles of Olive-Oregano Havarti cheese
slices of Rossada Pears
and lightly blanched Asparagus drizzled in a "Ring of Fire" pepper/garlic butter sauce

And lastly the meal as a whole

it was a little late to open a bottle of wine by myself
so I contented myself with a drink introduced to me earlier this evening
called "A Dark & Stormy"
which was entirely delicious
and I have decided
to create that I will continue
to update you all occasionally
with my various meals and photos
so I created an album
just for that
which you can view here
