Beautiful insignificance

You know that guy
who said

"don't sweat the small stuff ... and it is all small stuff"

I think he is a bit off

In fact I would rephrase it as

"Love the little things, and Life is all little things"

finding that extra quarter on the pavement to push that parking meter the extra ten minutes you need

sharing a cold beer on a hot day with a good friend

stolen drunken kisses in darken corners

that first bite of some food you have never tried before

life is all about loving the little moments
tacking one irrelevant joy onto the next
patch in a few meaningful moments now and again
and hell
in no time flat
you got yourself a made for TV movie
just waiting to happen
*wink*

today I had one of those
marvelous moments
small, insignificant
but a whole bundle of
happy happy joy joy

I was working on getting my house in order
and I had decided
that I was a hungry man
not really want to stop what I was doing
or make an ordeal about it
I thought I would run over to the shopping center near my house
and grab something
anything
just whatever happened to be there

well it turns out
my favorite Chinese take out/delivery place
[though I always had it delivered]
in this town
is literally two hundred yards from my front door

how much does that rock

it so made my day

so now I got me some Chinese food
going to take a break and watch

"We were soldiers"

while I eat dinner

cause
