good lord did i hate that movie. the first half or so, while it still had a plot, was quite good. then, when abc decided they didn't want to make it into a show after all, he tacked on the 2nd half which MADE NO SENSE. every explanation anyone has offered me has been hopeless rationalizing (if you can do better, please do. i would like to be able to enjoy it). i can only assume it was written by picking words from the dictionary at random

who ever said
it had to make sense dahlin

very little ever makes sense
so
why should fiction have to?

personally I adored it
regardless

if he made a completely obtuse movie i would have no problem with that. i might even enjoy it. but the 1st hour of that movie (mostly) made sense, and got me invested in the characters. and then it all got screwy and i felt let down. telling half a story and stopping is far worse than not telling one at all

and fiction certainly shoudln't have to make sense, but it goes a long way if you want me to like it. i get enough nonsense from life, why should my entertainment give me more of the same?

actually
it tells the entire story
its
just pulls a paradigm shift
in the middle
that is entirely unexplained
