plural: (who me)
been having a series of repetitive dreams
not the same dream but very similar
there are three common threads which make them
decidedly unusual

the first is that I remember them clearly
for years I have trained myself to forget my dreams
immediately upon waking
waking up coated in sweat and bleeding from nightmares
is generally bad enough, remembering them is more than I need
so for me to remember a dream even vaguely is a rare occurrence
let alone for me to remember four consecutive dreams

next they all involve a woman
a woman I have not met but would recognize instantly at this point
someone who I am familiar with
despite my brains assurance that I do not know her

and lastly they are all good dreams
vividly so, besides being intensely sexual
the general tone is more than that
there is a sense of peace which I can not readily describe

of course none of these
while peculiar in their own right
are the reason I am writing this

the first three nights
I wrote off as strange yet enjoyable
yet last night something bothered me
a small detail perhaps but significant

it was a phone number
her phone number
a local phone number
written indelibly in a soft hand
burnt into my mind
