May. 25th, 2001 07:58 pmwhy is it people
attempt to hide
the simple fact
that we
as a species
enjoy to watch
our own kind suffer
although perhaps
not out of outright
sadism
but we do
from staring at
bloody accident scenes
to watching police shoot outs
to public executions
we get our rocks off
watching our own kind
get whacked
which also explains
gory horror movies and
gruesome action flicks
its just a reality
yet we prance around all
damn day long
with
"empathy"
"political correct-ness"
and
pretend we are
some utopia
a
"kinder gentler nation"
it is a load of crap
we
enjoy
pain, suffering and misery
especially someone else's
"when animals attack"
is not educational
it may be fun
and exciting
(which is my point here)
but there is
no other reason
for watching a shark
gnaw off a guys leg
than you enjoy
the fact that he
is suffering and
you aren't
we lie
every day
to our children
tell them that
life is fair
and
preach about justice
nothing is ever fair
and
if it is ever just
it is by
accident or
coincidence
Justice is bought
whoever has the most dollars
has the most justice
Fairness is how
people justify
taking advantage of you
Nature
by her nature
is cruel
harsh and unforgiving
who are we
humans to
say that
we know better?
when was the last time
you heard a bear
grumbling that
it wasn't fair
that
a hawk
swooped down
and stole
his carefully caught fish
comes down
to simple truths
life is hard
we are insignificant
and
nothing
is ever
fair
