I have never suceeded in keeping a journal in my life. Something always scared me about commiting my life to paper.
The past is a strange thing, you can remember things however you like, well as long as you dont document it anyway.
You see thats the crux, if you transcribe what happens to you, then you are stuck with that version of events.
The other day I found five tattered pages of a previous attempt to journal my daily existance. It was from an interesting time in my life, drugs, alcohol, dubious sexual practices, in my memory, it seemed almost glorified. The vast discrepencies between my memories and my written account should not have suprised me, but it did.
