disappointment is still connected to my body

not in some little lovelies

although the events of the weekend
could be described in other similar terms
or
by a simple rearranging of words
which i will
leave to your imagination

the beach was beautiful
of course what else would you expect
when it is called

playa hermosa

the people were welcoming and divine
i think i would greatly enjoy
the lifestyle of a benevolent
south american dictator

the funny thing about the
social elite of any society
is that once they believe you are
a member of the caste
they go out of their way to be generous and hospitable

i have been thoroughly unable
despite my attempts and protests to the contrary
to pay for anything
luckily i had anticipated this possibility
and brought several excellent bottles of wine
and liquor as tokens of my gratitude
and for my host
a divine caviar which is a personal favorite

a weekend of excessive gentility
with flowing alcohol
and fluid dancing

there is a custom here
which is common in many parts of the world
where one is greeted with kisses
[although here it is only the women whom one kisses]
i must say
that it greatly eases the suffering
which naturally follows when meeting
a most delightful woman who
is unfortunately most delightfully married

ah well
i have emails to answer
clothes to buy
and
a dinner engagement
in but a few short hours
