that
is one of my favorites
although
I wonder
what is it about bogart movies
that
prompts rampant misquoting?
any ideas?
Re:
Date: 2001-04-17 07:19 pm (UTC)I have no idea what you are talking about.
I'm not sure why I prefer that bogart movie over the other's you've mentioned...
I think my fave bogart/bacall is 'to have and have not' bacall is the absolute most.
what about 'the treasure of the sierra madre'?

Date: 2001-04-17 07:48 pm (UTC)yes those two are on my list
as well
rampant misquoting well
I was referring to
"play it again sam"
misquote from casablanca and
"if you need me just whistle"
from key largo
to name two
perhaps that isnt rampant
but rather pervasive atleast
p
oops

Re: but of course
Date: 2001-04-18 06:52 am (UTC)...but there aren't.
Chandler is my favorite author, and Bogart's Marlowe fits the time better than any of the other movies. Though of course the movie was edited a lot more than the book. But, then, that's very 40s, too.
